GEORGE WRIGHT: PRODUCER OF THE YEAR AWARD FROM PB CAM IN PLYMOUTH
Congratulations to our George Wright! We are so proud of you here at the Alliance Against Northern Pass!
Last night was a big night for George and many others involved in local public television, as New Hampshire broadcasting stations across the state gathered in the Concord High School auditorium to honor those who make local television shows happen. George received the coveted “Producer of the Year” award from Juliette Harvey-Bolia at PB Cam in Plymouth for his video productions about the Northern Pass project.
It all started with Heather and George’s Alliance Against Northern Pass Orange People’s News Updates. The first one was a sickly orange color from an iPhone. The color was appropriate in their minds as the opposition color is orange! It also seemed like a great idea at the time to make videos instead of having to write everything out for a blog entry. The videos were shot and posted on the blog. Yet, George wasn’t satisfied with youtube alone for publicity and found Juliette Harvey-Bolia at PB Cam, who was willing to put the Orange People’s News Updates on a regular schedule to be seen in seven different towns.
Heather and George received plenty of thanks for their efforts along plenty of “constructive” criticism as well. Fix the color, fix the background, fix your hair, get your darn facts straight, look up, look down, speak louder, don’t speak at all! Well, they listened and learned and improved… sort of. They began to scoop big interviews with Bob Baker, Brian Tilton, Christophe Courchesne, Kevin Smith and other high profile opposition giants against the Northern Pass project.
Juliette took notice of George’s perseverance, dedication, and irresistible charm and talent, taking him under her wing as a budding producer of independent videos. She then awarded George with the coveted Producer of the Year award!!!
No one works as hard and is as loyal to the end for a cause as George Wright. We are all so lucky to have him by our side and cannot say enough good and wonderful things about him. We love you George!
